I can’t tell you how happy I am! spring has finally sprung and I blooming love it! the weather forecast for the week was absolutely amazing and that made me wanna get my balcony ready for the season.
therefore I decided to buy a bunch of flowers, a lovely tablecloth and make the grill ready to have some great BBQ evenings with friends, family or with my love.
our balcony was a disaster! we rarely used it during winter and that made it look like an after-apocolypse scenery… so we made our way to the garden center – bloody hell – we were definitely not the only ones with that thought. same as on our balcony – the garden center was an absolute mess of people crawling their way through the plants!
after an hour of touching every single plant, wondering what they are called and if they would survive my lack of gardening skills we finally made our way back home and the mission “balcony recovery” started.
I really enjoyed cleaning up the mess, planting the flowers and being able to see the progress. the sun touching my skin, the soil on my hands and the view of the lake was absolutely stunning. it actually calmed me down to a more quiet level than I’ve ever been in the last couple of months.
after the work was done we decided to celebrate the day with a nice BBQ. ever since my fiancé got a Lotus Grill for his 30th Birthday it’s the easiest thing in the world. it literally only takes 3-4 minutes until the grill is hot and ready to party! what’s even better for our balcony: there is no smoke so we don’t annoy everyone around us.
I love how you can place it on the table (with its double-layered construction the outer bowl does not get hot) and no one needs to get up every 3 minutes to see if the goods are ready or already burnt.
all in all I enjoyed a lovely day on our balcony! what is your favourite thing to do in spring? I’d love to hear from you ❤
