in summer I tend to use less make-up than in other seasons. I feel like when you’ve got a tan your skin looks healthier and just doesn’t need a lot to look good. so I was very happy when a few weeks ago Daylong came in contact with me and wanted me to test their new face fluids with SPF +50.
my skin is >very< sensitive in the sun, so I always used a moisturizer with SPF 30 or even better 50 to be sure not to get sunburnt. the BB cream from Daylong is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. it gives you the protection you need and feels very light but still gives you a bit of a coverage.
personally I don’t really like the smell of it but as I set it with the Gerda Spillmann powder that smells incredibly good (blogpost about this product coming soon) I don’t really mind this. after applying my Collection concealer I set it with the powder because I feel quite a bit shiny after using the face fluid – but with the powder it’s perfectly fine and lasts the whole day long.
I love to just bronze my face with my Benefit Hoola Bronzer whereever the sun would naturally touch me. this is the only product I use more in summer than I do in winter times. after bronzing my face I only use a tiny bit of blush and highlighter > at the moment I -really- enjoy the Urban Decay Backtalk palette, it gives me the nicest peachy glow and I blimin love peachy tones in summer.
put on some mascara and a nude lip shade and you’re done! to be honest mascarawise I’m in a bit of a struggle at the moment. because I can’t really find one that I like 100%. I do like the Benefit „they’re real“ and the Maybelline „total temptation“ but they’re just not exactly what I’m looking for. I ordered a variety of different ones just when I wrote this blogpost so maybe I’m gonna write about them soon.

I may have mentioned it a few times (or in almost every single blogpost)… I got married on may the fourth this year. it was truly a wonderful day and I couldn’t wait to finally show you guys some photos and share my wedding skin routine with you.
a couple of months ago the company Laverana (brand Lavera) came in touch with me to announce their new product range: anti pollution. as it was a few weeks until my wedding I was a little bit sceptical to try out something new for my skin – because I wanted it to look perfect on this day!
the company Laverana can be described in just a few words: made in Germany, in the Hanover region, certified natural cosmetics are produced in a closed value-added competence chain. Production is carried out preserving natural resources, with respect for human beings and nature. Long story short: after reading their website it didn’t take long to convice me about using these natural products as my wedding skin products.
good thing I tried it – my skin was absolutely fantastic on my wedding day.
for a fresh and radiant complexion I used the hydro effect cleansing balm in the evenings to take off my makeup (except off my eyes). the silky, creamy gel texture encapsulates sebum and dirt particles and removes them without damaging the skin barrier – my skin felt fantastic!
after the cleansing I always need a moisturizer to make sure my skin doesn’t dry out. to be honest… I used the day cream both in the evenings and mornings and I bloody loved it! the composition of active ingredients of the lavera hydro effect day dream with an anti-pollution complex (of organic algae and natural antioxidants) slows down environmentally induced skin ageing – the result is just dreamy.
I used the hydro effect serum as well as the face mask only sporadically but you could definitely use the serum once a day (in fact I’m just to lazy to be bothered with a lot of products in one day…). but even if I didn’t use it daily I really liked the effect ❤
the result of using these products a couple of weeks long was me being super comfortable in my skin and >very< happy on my wedding day!
what is your daily skin care routine? I’d love to hear from you ❤

lately my blog and instagram feed have been a bit quiet – mostly because I treated myself with a little digital detox. my life has been quite busy with all the new stuff happening – I’m talking about starting my blog and creating new (hopefully) interesting content every week. don’t get me wrong – I absolutely adore what I do and I am -oh so- excited for every single new experience! but sometimes you just need to take a step back and think about where you are, where you wanna go and what you’ve got to do to achieve these goals.
and this is exactly what I did the last couple of days: I pampered myself, took some days off of social media and discovered that I like coffee a LOT! not in it’s common way – I NEVER drink coffee and I don’t really like the taste of anything sweet with coffee in it – but what I definitely love is it’s smell!
so the new BEANBODY COFFE SCRUB was like a message from heaven! it smells >marvelous< is super easy to use AND >> all the ingredients are natural and organic.
it’s formulated to target dry skin, strech marks, cellulite and skin imperfections. and YES it does keep all the promises! I only used it for like three weeks and I can already see a difference – bloody love it! these are only a few of the benefits the product offers:
- Caffeine will stimulate blood flow and help reduce the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, varicose veins and psoriasis.
- Coconut oil will hydrate & moisturise your skin.
- Demerara Sugar & Himalayan Salt will exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin, acne, whiteheads, blackheads, breakouts & other skin blemishes.
- Cocoa & Vitamin E are high in antioxidants which nourish & protect the skin, promoting cell repair & rejuvenation.
the body scrub comes in six different flavours for women and one man scrub. I only tried the coconut, vanilla, peppermint and manuka honey and I think they all smell divine. but my favourite, and that’s no surprise, is the coconut one. there is also one with mandarin and one with coco berry scent – I guess they all kind of work the same and only the smell is different.
the package contains 220g of coffee scrub and costs CHF 19.90 (£ 14.95) in swiss drug stores and online on www.clickandbeauty.ch and www.impo.ch. this sounds like a lot, but you can use it for quite a long time – so in my opinion it is definitely worth it.
all in all I can say this is a huge YES! it smells amazing, feels amazing, the price is ok and the results are just perfect!
have you got a favourite body scrub? I’d love to hear from you ❤

the ones of you who follow me on Instagram (@maruschkarossi) will know, that I am a Lush addict! after a hard day of work there’s nothing that I enjoy more than a beautiful loooong „me-time“ in the bath – and the fragrances and colours of Lush products are just INSANE ❤
I got in contact with the lovely members of Lush Switzerland and was one happy chicken when they invited me in their store to get the ultimate lush experience!
the gorgeous Kamalia gave me the most amazing VIP tour and told me more about all the products. I was reeeally impressed by her – I’m terrible in remembering things – she was absolutely amazing! every product has it’s own story and she fabled these stories sooo good ❤
as I already mentioned – I’m a mess in remembering things – but I really wanted to show you my all time favourite products from Lush. btw > this post is not sponsored by Lush, but they kindly offered me some products.
I obviously have to start with bathbombs! in fact I never ever tried a Lush bathbomb I didn’t like, but my recent fave is „tisty tosty“. the scent is absolutely amazing and the shape very lovely. seven rosebuds burst from the spellbinding pink heart as you breathe in Sicilian lemon oil, geranium and sensual jasmine – truly amazing!
the second product is one I only started using by the beginning of this year – but it’s definitely one of Lush’s treasures! the hot oil treatments are unquestionably going to be part of my hair routine. with extra virgin olive oil to increase tensile strength and almond and avocado oils to deeply moisturize, your hair will be ready for whatever you have planned for it next. Guar gum reduces static and vanilla absolute lightly perfumes locks for irresistibly touchable hair.
last but by no means least: the charity pot. as an official Lush addict I can hardly believe I did not know about this beforehand! the charity pot is a hand and body lotion with a difference. 100% of the proceeds (minus sales tax, which goes to the government) are donated to independent, grassroots charities that support human rights, animal welfare and environmental protection. just the fact that they support diverse charities is absolutely amazing – but the lotion is perfect as well! after only a few times of using it my skin felt very smooth, soft and smelt gooooorgeous. it’s a win-win!
all in all I was surprised how many products I didn’t even know! Lush is definitely more than bathbombs and soaps – it’s a company that cares about animals, people in need and about the environment itself > I am charmed ❤
what are your favourite products? I’d love to hear from you ❤
in winter my skin needs kind of an extra kick- so what could be better than treating yourself with the lovely products from RITUALS.
everytime I go to a RITUALS shop I have to hold myself back because otherwise I would be broke in a second (at least I would smell like heaven).
so as I said before – wintertime is pampertime.
when I get home from work in the evening I immediately run myself a hot bath using the heart warming bath oil from the ritual of anahata >> this is my favourite smell in the cold month – in other months I use the rituals of sakura. it calms me down and gives me a nice downtime all by myself.
before I get in the bath I usually pamper myself with the RITUALS wonder mask – as it says – it really works wonders! I let the mask sink in while I enjoy my bath and read a book or scroll trough Instagram.
for the ultimate soft skin feeling I use the body scrub from the ritaul of sakura, scrub it all over my body and wash it off with hot water.
after my warming bath I treat my skin with the ritual of anahata body cream and my face with the moisture recovery night cream from the RITUALS standard collection. to finish off my evening routine I spray on some of the ritual of anahata heart soothing body mist.
what is your favourite product to use during wintertime?
I’d love to hear from you ❤
